IT Support

·         Work with small businesses that don’t require an internal IT department. Provide complete support needs including local and wide area networks, operating system and application software, hardware installation and maintenance. Provide programming services for application interfaces, custom software and database applications. Train users and provide system documentation.

·         Harland Financial: Installed and maintained networks for small banks throughout eastern U.S. Novell version 2.2 to 5.1 (20+) and Windows Server version NT4.0 to 2008 (20+).

·         Supported multiple small banks in the local area and maintained their networks and application software.

·         Nord Resources: Provided on-site Novell network support at a mine site in Sierra Leone, West Africa.

Contract Programming

·         Harland Financial: Provided design and programming services for a large bank service firm, including a Visual Basic application which read input from a variety of loan origination packages and sent the loans to the bank servicer via an interactive TCP/IP session. This application also allowed for editing the loan information and adding additional fields required for processing. This application was distributed to 30+ banks and interfaced to 5+ loan origination packages.

·         Tipp Novelty (glassware decorator): Wrote a VBA / Excel /Access application which read in order files from the customer's (Lenox) mainframe format and created an order tracking database as well as an Excel spreadsheet with custom fonts and text to make decals to personalize glassware.

·         Programmed interfaces between various operating systems including Windows, Unix, and Novell. Programmed applications in various databases including SQL server, MySQL, Dbase, FoxPro, Access and ODBC compliant.
